Memorandum signed with SAI Poland

SAO delegation headed by Auditor General Maksim Acevski held a bilateral meeting with the President of the Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Marian Banaś

At the bilateral meeting, Auditor General Acevski was welcomed by the President of SAI Poland, Mr. Marian Banaś, who expressed satisfaction, as well as assurance that strengthening cooperation between both SAIs and the exchange of good audit practices will contribute to greater economy, efficiency and effectiveness in the use of public funds and in creation of an effective control environment.

Mr. Acevski, expressing gratitude for the cordial reception emphasized the aspiration and trust for deepening inter-institutional cooperation, particularly referring to the possibility of conducting peer review of SAO operation, as well as through active participation in the working groups of EUROSAI and INTOSAI, conducting joint/parallel audits and organizing joint events and trainings of mutual interest for both SAIs.

Mutual agreement and commitments to continuous professional and technical cooperation for strengthening professional capacities and promoting accountable and effective external audit have been translated into the contents of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions.

With the signed MoC, the representatives of both SAIs agree to make all the necessary preparations for successful implementation of activities defined in the Memorandum and to maintain open and effective communication on all issues related to the activities of common interest.
